The Rugged Ranch Ranch Walk-In Pen Extension Kit is perfect for adding double the length to your existing Rugged Ranch Walk In pen. This extension kit is constructed with the same heavy duty welded wire material for long-lasting strength. The extension kit is finished with a black powder coating that will provide extra protection from the elements. The walk-in pen extension kit contains 2 hinged side panels, 4 roof panels and all hardware to fully assemble the addition to your pen.Note: This product may require up to 2 additional days for order processing prior to shipping

A Little Overpriced For The Quality

I bought two extensions to go with my pen. They went together decently easy but you definitely need a second person to help put on the top panels. The wire is thinner and not as good of quality as other pens in this price range but this was the only one I found with expansions. It’s okay and sturdy enough but I wouldn’t suggest adding more than two extensions. My roof buckles just a bit in the middle but not enough to be a problem. I think it might become a problem though if I tried to add a third extension. Overall it’s not bad if you need the extension option but if you just need the simple pen there are definitely better quality pens for the same price.

Coop Extension Solid Build

Bought the Rugged Ranch extension for our Rugged Ranch walk in Coop and once again the design is solid if lag bolted to a 4x6 base but roof needs improved design due to slight sag issue related to extension kit not including roof a frame addition for center roof panels. This can be fixed by adding a T Post in the center if you plan to cover the roof. My only complaint is the unit sent to us had factory damage (broken welds on wire mesh, poor powder coat finish). Get out the spray paint to touch up after assembly or she will rust quickly.

Goes well with Overez chicken run from rugged ranch. A better option is built myself from wood and hardware cloth. The rugged ranch doesn’t hold weight and the holes are big.
