Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked perfectly Easy to mix and sets up quick. No guessing on amounts of everything. Mixed up very smooth. I also ordered it online and picked up in the store about an hour later. So it was ready for me when I got there and that helped get my concrete poured that evening.

What temperature can it with stand

Asked by: Jimbo54
The ideal placement temperature for QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix is 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but it may be placed at temperatures between 50 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The set time may increase when placed below 70 degrees Fahrenheit and decrease when placed above 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Below 50 degrees (but above 32 degrees Fahrenheit), cold weather precautions must be taken to promote proper curing. These include, but not limited to, the following: store the bagged concrete in a warm temperature before use, use warm (not hot) water to mix, and ensure that the concrete is protected from freezing for at least 48 hours using plastic sheeting, insulated blankets, or other means. If these preventive measures cannot be taken, it would be best to wait for warmer weather.

What are the drying times and temperatures for Quikrete in a post hole?  I live in Montana and set a post yesterday, the temperatures were 50 degrees for four hours, got down to 33 last night, now up around 40 twenty hours later.

Asked by: suhyapi
The ideal circumstances for curing are ample moisture and moderate temperature and wind conditions. Curing should be started as soon as possible and should continue for a period of 5 days in warm weather at 70F (21C) or higher or 7 days in colder weather at 50 - 70F (10 - 21C). Curing compounds should not be applied if rain or temperatures below 50F (10C) are expected within 24 hours.
