Q: I need to purchase a Producer's Pride 22G disposable needle, but what is the correct attachment that I need to collect blood/fluid. I want to be sure I get the correct thing. Thanks.
4 years ago- A: This is going to be variable depending on species/ age/ size of animal, as well as the volume of blood being collected. In general terms, one would use a 22G needle 1 ½” along with a 3 cc disposable syringe. This is how the blood is drawn, it would then need to be placed in a blood collection tube. The type of blood collection tube is dependent on what type of lab is being run. Please check with your local veterinarian or lab to see what their tube preference is.4 years agoHelpful?
