Q: My smart collar says that it comes with a four-digit code where would I find this code?

  • A: From the instruction manual under "Connect the Training Collar with the App": 4. Locate and open the app on your smartphone. Next, choose “Connect to a Collar” and the SMART DOG Trainer App will locate your collar. Press Connect. 5. Next, you’ll assign a PIN (personal identification number). This is a security feature to ensure that other devices will not connect to your training collar. NOTE: The same PIN can be used on multiple phones in the same household. However, they cannot be used simultaneously. The SMART DOG Trainer can only operate with one BLUETOOTH® connection.

Q: How do I reset the collar pin when I have lost it and got a new phone?

  • A: Thank you for your question! If you need to reset the PIN on your collar, run through the steps below: • Start with the collar powered on. • Press and hold the On/Off button on the collar. • The red LED light will come on, the collar will beep (high to low) and turn off. • Continue to hold for an additional 10 seconds. • There should be two quick beeps with a green light. At this point, the PIN has been reset. If there is no beep, then the button was likely released too soon. If this is the case, power the collar back on and then the hold button as if powering it back off but do not release the button.

  • A: Thank you for your question! Our Smart Dog Trainer can only be used with one dog at a time. You will not be able to add multiple collars to the app to use at the same time.

It's alright

I bought 3 different products, and none of the chargers are cross compatible. I will not be buying this brand again as I have a lost charger And so I have a completely useless product and the app sucks.

Effective collar, worthless app

I liked the idea of a collar with vibration and sound versus shock or static. Didn't want to hurt my dog, just wanted to get his attention. The vibration works the best on mine, he learned within a day or two that when I called his name, I wanted him to come to me. In fact, it worked so well that I no longer need the collar for the negative behavior he displayed when I first bought it. And that's a darned good thing because an updated to the app in late April this year (changed from one app to another, forced not by choice) has rendered the collar worthless. The app itself is impossible to connect to the collar 99% of the time. If I was buying a collar again, I'd buy the same collar but would NOT opt for the phone app. I'd get it with a remote. The collar works, you won't hurt your pup, (don't use the static!) and the end result is the exclusion of negative behavior. Just be sure you don't get the one with the phone app.

Terrible range

We purchased this a few years ago for our male dog but have since started using it with our younger female. Unfortunately the range is terrible. It says 75 yards but honestly only goes about 50-75 FEET. This is unfortunate because it doesn’t work where we need it to. I’m disappointed because now we will have to spend extra to buy the remote version to do what we need it to.

shorter range than advertised and battery dies

The range is very small, a lot shorter than advertised. Battery dies very quickly so I constantly find the collar not connected.
