Q: Can this be used for rock salt/snow melt instead of corn?

- A: This item is for a 200lb Barrel Only with no feeder/timer. We have not heard of anyone using a deer or fish feeder with rock salt or snow melt. That being said, we have had customers use our Bumper Buddy ATV Spreader for rock salt. If you do use the Bumper Buddy ATV Spreader for this purpose, please note it will have to be cleaned and thoroughly after use to prevent damage to the Bumper Buddy motor.5 months agoHelpful?

- A: Hello, yes, any of our feeders/timers with a spinplate will mount under this barrel. This item does not come with the hanging bracket, but you can purchase this barrel as a hanging combo that comes with the hanger bracket (search item# 24112). Our Lifetime and Elite Feeders can be purchased as a combo with the hanger bracket and 200# barrel (search item#s 71536 & 71537).
