- A: Not sure, but I would not buy this product. I had an issue with a wheel 3 months into owning this thing, found out that the gears are made of molded plastic. Called for support, told it wasn't covered, and had to buy wheels out of pocket. If you name is Ohio Steel, why are you making gears out of plastic?5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Are chains or other traction improvements available. The sweeper works great but later in the fall the leaves remain wet and the wheels just slide. I'd like to add weight to the sweeper as well but the wheels are already bending outward from leaves alone.

Fits Afri-Fab!

I know the description and the manufacturer both say "does not work with other lawn sweepers" but I took the worn out and stripped wheel from my 42" Agri-Fab lawn sweeper with me to my local TS to compare it with this product and they were identical in almost every way except color.
I installed this wheel on my Agri-Fab lawn sweeper and the gears meshed perfectly! I've used it for a total of 6-8 hours now with no issues.

Poorly engineered wheel

This wheel has a loose fitting 2 piece thin plastic bushing. It has a steel pinion gear on the sweeper that is suppose to mesh with the molded plastic wheel gear. Failure of the gear assembly results due to the increased wear because of the wobble created by the loose fitting wheel/bushing design.
