The Arbequina Olive Tree is an independent variety known for its self-pollination ability. Arbequina produces black olives between two to four years after planting. The fruit is often described as small, meaty, and rich in flavor. Their high concentration of oil makes them ideal for producing olive oil, but they are just as tasty in salads or as a snack. Plant in full sun to partial shade and water regularly. Once established, water between once per week and 10 days. They are adaptable to most soil, however their ideal soil is alkaline and well-draining.
- Offer contains (1) Olive tree in a 4 inch grower container
- Mature size 20-30' tall and 15-20' wide
- Best grown in USDA hardiness zones 8-11
- Performs best in full sun
- Thrives in rich, well-draining soil with consistent moisture
- Great for use as a specimen tree
- Prized for its silvery-green foliage and bark that becomes gnarled with maturity
- Self-pollinating and produces small, meaty black olives
- Drought tolerant once established
