Meet the National Plant Network 2.25 gal. Willow Oak Tree Plant. Willow Oak or 'handsome tree' presents a unique feature within the mighty oaks, willow shaped leaves. The leaves appear in the spring as light yellow or bright green and mature to a dark green in the summer. The show begins in the fall when they turn shades of yellow-bronze, orange and russet red before they drop. The Willow Oak is an ideal tree for streets, parks and hunting property due to its relatively fast growth, regal appearance and acorn producing abilities. The Willow Oak Tree also transplants easily and is a wonderful wildlife tree as its acorns attracts a multitude of animals.
