Saved me a bump, scored me a Buck!

I run about a dozen Edge 2 and a few Edge 3s at both of my properties in WI and CT. Its amazing how much of an upgrade the Edge 3 is over its predecessor.
I had set up an Edge 3 right at the entrance trail to my CT property, as I began walking in at shooting light, my app notified me of a buck at my entrance cam and sure enough I look up the hill and see movement. I take a quick glance at my phone and see not one but TWO big bucks walking in together. This allowed me to completely re-evaluate my plan. I used the pictures and video to my advantage and was able to stalk around these bucks, no more than 100 yards away, and quietly get to my hanging stand on the other side of them. This is one of those high alert situations where you’re on edge, knowing they can come at any minute. I notice 2 does running like crazy near where the bucks were caught on camera. Here we go. Some time goes by and I begin to relax, when suddenly, another Edge camera hits! I didn’t even have time to check my phone before I see a 10 pointer, monster 6 pt, and a basket 8 pt walking in formation. Right. At. Me. I’m tucked on the back side of a tree from them so they can’t see me. The 10 looks up right at me, I freeze, he starts walking again, I win. As he walks under my stand and into my killbox, the 6 and 8 pts plant themselves at the base of my ladder, looking at me. I slowly get into position, playing red light green light so I don’t get busted. As I bring the scope to my eye, I see the 6 look right at me. Screw it! I let the shot fly, the 6 and 8 didn’t move a muscle, but the 10 did. 9:48 AM on my last day of white tail for the year, and I got my buck. Without these cameras and the speed which you get notifications, I would have spooked those bucks and sat in silence all day. Thanks for the assist Moultrie!

Best Cell Cam Ever!

I was on the fence for many years about getting a cell cam. Best decision I ever made! Real time data for patterning the animals which is crucial. The Moultrie edge cameras are freaking awesome! If you’re on the fence, don’t be…finish climbing over and get one!
