The camera is good. I like the new features. I didnt know itnrequired a USBc to USBc cable to work worh a solar panel that I have to bow buy. My edge 2 used a 12v barrel jack connection. So I cant even use the old solar panel. I now have to buy a new panel for that camera. I would have just bought an edge 2 had I know.

I have ran Moultrie for many years and was very pleased. My wife bought the twin pack of Edge 3 for Christmas and I noticed right away that the deer were scared of the camera. I walked in front of the camera before daylight and saw that Moultrie added lights that looks light a railroad crossing they are so bright. I called Moultrie to complain but have made no headway. Why in the world would Moultrie do this because my edge classic does not have this. This company dropped the ball for sure by adding these lights and now I have 2 cameras that are useless.

These cameras require batteries, even though they are supposedly rechargeable. Nowhere on this website, even the fine print, will tell you that this "rechargeable" camera requires lots of batteries. Or, of course, you can spend MORE money and buy their battery pack. Bad business practice.

Recently received an Edge 3 for Christmas and realized why I stopped buying Moultrie. My plans calls for 1000 pictures a month and in 2 days I had 1000 pictures of absolutely nothing, had camera set at low sensitivity and 2 minute delay and it just took pictures every 15 seconds. I have 7 Bushnell Cellucore camera that I have set up exactly like my edge and they work perfectly no blank pictures just deer and exotics. I know cameras are like buying anything else some are good and some are bad but I’ve had way too many issues with Moultrie cameras. Being an outfitter I have to have products that are reliable and dependable this isn’t it
