It's a solid fuel can. Does the job. The new spouts are unhelpful so I made a minor modification and now it works like a dream. Remove the O-ring from the bottom (underside) of the spout. You can then pull the inner spout apart and reveal the heavy tension spring. Remove the spring, reinsert the inner spout, and re-seat the O-ring from below. Now you don't have to press against the spout to keep fuel flowing during a pour. The removal of the spring does not disable the lock that keeps the spout closed between uses. You're welcome.

This is the worst fuel can on the face of the planet. I'm glad I only purchased one of them. Whoever engineered the nozzle should be flogged.

Best can you can buy, made in USA! YOU MUST CHANGE NOZZLE AND DRILL NEW VENT! (These are available everywhere and this fact doesn't change for any brand.) Could not be happier with their quality. Upon upgrading, they pour flawlessly without leaking. Thickness makes them very safe and durable. Clearly labeled capacity line for 5 gallons. 2 handles for ergonomics and stability.

Horrible purchase!

Whoever designed this container is an idiot! It has “Diesel” molded right on its side but it diesel nozzle at the pump does NOT fit in the opening!!! Filling it is an absolute pain. I ended up splattering fuel on my pantleg and boots and over the outside of the container. Do NOT purchase this for diesel fuel!!!!!
