My dog loves this food. It helps keep his coat soft and beautiful. It’s easy for him to digest and it’s a great value.

My dog was on another food before I found Merrick, he was really lethargic, his coat was dull, and his eyes were always watering . After much research, I tried Merrick dog kibble because my baby girl was experiencing digestive issues and flatulance which made both of us uncomfortable. First of all, I appreciate the packaging which is easy to reseal and keep fresh. The kibble is sized just right and is always fresh. Bella eats every bit and licks her bowl clean. Within two days on Merrick, her issues subsided. Her coat is silky and shiny and she’s got a pep in her step. I’m so pleased that the ingredients are local only (God bless Texas!) and trust Merrick’s promise that they’ve got my beloved dog’s best health at heart! I have a Weimaraner that has been put on a limited diet, and his coat had become very thin. We tried several cheaper brands, and Max seemed to be doing well, but his coat was getting thinner than ever. We switched to Merrick and to this specific flavor. Max loves it, and his coat looks better than ever. It's Merrick for my buddy from now on.

Have a 8 year old landslides and 5 yr cheeweenie. Both dogs are doing well on this good and just eat it up. Allergies under control and skin and hair great. Totally recommend

My two and a half year old Border Collie/Lab mix is doing great on this food. No more clouds of hair come off everytime he shakes and the rashes he was getting under his armpits are all cleared up now. It's so hard to find food and treats that don't have some sort of poultry by product in it but between the limited ingredients salmon food and the treats offered by Merrick it's like having a new dog!

We started using Merrick Limited ingredient salmon and sweet potato, for our lab/German short-haired pointer mix (125lbs), about 2 years ago when we switched him from puppy food. He was having issues with hair loss and constant loose stool. We had tried several other brands and this was the one that got us results. He is now a healthy almost 3 year old dog and he has never gotten tired of this food.

Our chi/dashhound mix has food allergies, everything made him break out and itch. Since switching to limited ingredients salmon, sweet potato, no more rash or itching. Thank you Merrick

My name is Stan, I am taking the time out to review this company, because I have owned many businesses during my lifetime and, for better or worse, I judge companies I buy from using the exacting standards of excellence and integrity I used for my customers. Merrick deserves the accolades as I have found them to be the finest line of dog food and treat products in the marketplace today, and there customer service is second to none. The are #1 in my book. I am writing this review on th Salmon & Sweet Potato area, but my comments are meant for every product I have acquired for my dog who, by the way, is the most important and valuable replationship in my life aside, of course, from my children and family. I have researched almost every other brand available and there are none to compare to Merrick. Not even close. As a matter of fact, a few of their canned foods look like they were cooked by a chef. Peas, carrots and white meat chicken. Everything they produce is top quality, no fillers, all healtrhy. I have a forty pound Puggle rescue, Princess, who is now two years old, as well as being an Emotional Therapy Animal. She is very active and athletic, We go to the dog park dog beach or dog lake every day, and runs and playsf until she can no longer move. Iam retired, so I have the time. People say she is spoiled and lucky, but in fact, I am the one who was given this gift of pure joy and unconditional love. I feed her twice a day with the following: In a plastic bowl (not her feeding bowil) I combine one cup of dry kibble (assorted flavors-she likes them all,) a few tablespoons of canned food (all varieties,) a few tablespoons of cooked sweet potato, and a few tablespoons of either cooked chopped meat or chicken breast. Trust me, to microwave a few sweet potatoes and bake some chicken takes no time, and nothing is too good for a dog that returns so much back. Here's the trick. I add a little bit of water into this mix and microwave it for thrity seconds to warm it up before putting it in to her feeding bowl, and then stir it all together. Adding the water creates a gravy from the dry kibble. She likes the bowl clean every time. Would you rather eat cold or heated food for your meals? So folks, that's my story and I'm, sticking to it. My 5 year old husky has an extremely sensitive stomach and is allergic to a variety of things. Started feeding him merrick 2 years ago and will never go back. I got another husky and it works amazing for her as well. Im always getting compliments on their coats, they are a good weight (which was always hard to do) and im happy with the ingredients and nutritional values. My female just had puppies and i have them on your puppy formula and am encouraging their new parents to keep them on.

We have been feeding the Salmon and Sweet Potato for the last 6 months to our two Maltese. They eat it up! Coats are beautiful and they are maintaining a healthy weight. I highly recommend this food.

I tried high quality products for my JRT but he didn't use to like I chanced 2 brands but nothing ! Eventually i tried this food, he really liked .sometimes I m mixing with other salmon favor can food he enjoys this combination strongly recommend !!!

I bought this food because the pet store recommended it. My dog had bowel issues and I tried everything. Finally he seems to be happier and no more issues. I would give 5 stars but it is so expensive and the largest bag is 22 lbs. So I go through it quickly.

My dog has sensitive skin and has a tendency to develop rashes and bumps on his stomach from certain foods and treats. After feeding him Limited Ingredient Salmon & Sweet Potato, his rashes and bumps went away. His skin and coat look amazing and people always comment on how healthy he looks.

We have a rescue poodle mix named Buddy who was a mess when he came into our lives at 10 months old. He ate cheap dog food stored in a large plastic container that smelled like pickles. He had regular accidents in the house, was itchy and licked his paws until cysts formed on them which caused limping. He was back and forth to the vet where he was treated for a sick stomach, diarrhea and allergies and took Benadryl often. When we switched to Merrick Grain Free Duck and Sweet Potato food we saw a huge improvement. He rarely had an accident in the house and licked his paws much less often which stopped the limping. When the Limited Ingredient Diet in the Merrick Grain Free Duck and Sweet Potato variety came out Buddy was doing even better. We found that he had a chicken intolerance and completely removed chicken from his diet. He never had an accident in the house after we removed chicken from his diet and he rarely ever licked his paws. When we went to buy his Limited Ingredient Grain Free Duck and Sweet Potato food a couple of months ago, the store only had the Limited Ingredient Grain Free Salmon and Sweet Potato available so we decided to try it. Oh my goodness this diet is the BEST one yet! His stomach issues are completely gone and he never licks his paws. I fed my now 11 year old papillon Mini-Moo some Purina Sensitive Systems Salmon dry food for many many years until I could no longer find it. After switching to a chicken flavor (Beneful maybe?), Mini started scratching and licking nearly constantly. Her allergic reactions didn't stop there. After weeks of baths with medicated shampoo and eliminating chicken from her diet, she is bouncing around and doing her "gimme a treat" dances again. Chicken, chicken flavor, chicken fat, chicken by-product, and "meat by-product" (the worst of them all-what is that?) are in nearly all dog foods and treats. It's great this product is available and has quality ingredients. I didn't realize what junk is in most foods before hunting for chicken free eats.

I buy multiple flavors and mix them to give them a more varied and complete diet. Plus we feed the the canned versions as a treat at night. They love them all and I feel good about feeding them all the Merrick products. We also have 6 Sphinx kitten that demand the cat version.

The grain free was good but the grain free limited ingredient is even better! Our greyhounds love it & suffer from less instances of stomach upset and/or gas since making the switch.

I have used all the flavors. I have a Shepherd with EPI and she is doing great on this food. My other dogs love it too!

I bought this product because my Chihuahua had hair loss issues on other food. I believe he has a food allergy and wanted to eliminate the chicken and grains to isolate the issue. This limited diet product did just that. While he has not regrown the hair he lost, he is playing again and is not losing any further hair. He is happier and loves his food. I have a Cocker Spaniel that has been diagnosed with seborrhea and this dog food has helped her skin tremendously! I also have a King Charles that has had some issues with joints and hip. Since I started feeding her this dog food, her mobility has improved tremendously!! I love this dog food and it makes me feel so good to know that I am giving my dogs the best!!!

I have two dogs a German Shepherd and pittbull. My shepherd was very dissatisfied with food , gave me a really hard time eating because his allergies and sensitive stomach everything made him sick.
