The Marathon Motors 3-1/2 HP Electric Air Compressor Motor is made to get the job done right. This air compressor motor can be used for commercial and residential air compressors, fans, dairy and poultry equipment and table saws. The capacitor start/capacitor run design of the air compressor motor reduces the amperage needed. The electric air compressor motor has manual reset thermal protection and a rigid base. Made with carbon steel, this compressor motor is designed for durability and strength.

Air Compressor Replacement Motor

Bought this motor to replace the GE motor on my IR air compressor after it shot fire and died. This motor is bigger and heavier than the original. Installed it and went to work running a palm sander for over an hour and then doing a complete paint job. New motor did great, did not overheat or trip thermal overload, I am impressed and sold on it. Time will tell if holds up, but I bet it does....

Bought it less than 2 years ago and it went out today. On average I only run the compressor about 4 hours a month. Going to a store that just sells electric motors not chicken feed and motors.

    Warning wired for 220v

    Even though the box started it was a 120v replacement motor, it was wired for 220v. I notice a slow start and no power. Immediately turned it off. Was able to rewire with diagrams of side of motor.

    Bought it to replace old motor compressor then just end up buying brand new compressor instead motor probably would’ve worked pump was bad
