This is a high-quality supplement to your horse's feed, and it is wonderful for helping hard keepers gain weight without risking an overload of carbohydrates and sugars which can contribute to laminitis, gut flora imbalances, and other problems. The fats in this feed help your horse's coat really shine. If your horse is a picky eater like mine is, however, good luck getting your horse to eat this. My horse wouldn't touch it. Even a quarter of a cup added to his usual 5 pounds of Nutrena was enough to make him turn up his nose.

Max-E Glo is a very good product. I have used Mor-Glo in the past and it is getting harder to get. Mor-Glo had a higher protein count, but Max-E Glo is much better priced. So I guess it's give and take. I am just feeding more to my horses for wight management.
