This is a high-quality supplement to your horse's feed, and it is wonderful for helping hard keepers gain weight without risking an overload of carbohydrates and sugars which can contribute to laminitis, gut flora imbalances, and other problems. The fats in this feed help your horse's coat really shine. If your horse is a picky eater like mine is, however, good luck getting your horse to eat this. My horse wouldn't touch it. Even a quarter of a cup added to his usual 5 pounds of Nutrena was enough to make him turn up his nose.

This is a GREAT product...WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE AT MY LOCAL TSC!! Availability is "anybody's guess"... I rarely see more than 1 bag on display & when asking if any is in stockroom, there is rarely "YES".
