Q: Can you tint this paint

1 Answer
  • A: Majic T&C Latex Flat Barn, House & Fence Paint is a good quality exterior paint that may be tinted to light colors with universal colorants. These are not tint bases, so may not tint as uniformly as products designed for custom mixing – Product will accept colorant up to 2 ounces per gallon (10 ounces per 5 gallon bucket) – mix thoroughly with a drill mixer, and if using more than 1 bucket, intermix (or “box”) all containers together to ensure color uniformity between containers. Follow all package directions in regard to spread rate, allowable recoat times, etc.

Q: Is it good to use with spray gun?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes - absolutely. Airless spray application actually works best for this product. Product should be sprayed at approx. 1500+ lbs of pressure - with a .015 - .017 tip. Thinning is generally not required, nor recommended, for airless application - but if absolutely necessary, reduce - up to 5% - with clean water. Be aware that the proper curing of this product is temperature and humidity sensitive, and should only be applied when sustained surface temps are greater than 60 degrees F. - and relative humidity below 50%. This product should be applied at a rate not to exceed 300 square feet per gallon, and allow 8 hours to re-coat if necessary. Application in too cool of temperatures, and/or in too high humidity - or too heavy an application, and/or re-coating too soon will affect how soon this product will achieve maximum moisture resistance.

White Paint for light

Use for the inside of our 3 sided shelters so it would be lighter than the red paint. It looks great and disperses the light very well

Alright at best

Good for basic jobs but certainly too thin for a barn. Old wood just soaks it up and it takes 3 to 4 coats to cover.

No, I do not recommend this product.
