This dependable, float-controlled model simply hooks up to a standard 3/4 inch garden hose to deliver fresh water 24/7 in above-freezing temperatures. The large 4-gallon capacity makes these great automatic horse waterers. Includes metal brackets for over-the-fence or on-the-wall installation (hardware not included). Molded from impact-resistant polyethylene resin. Operates at pressure between 20 and 50 psi. Includes 30 inch of hose with a female hose attachment.Miller Manufacturing Company products are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Miller's obligations under this Warranty shall be limited to the repair or exchange of any part or parts which may thus prove defective under normal use and service within 30 days from the date of shipment by Miller to the original purchase, and which Miller's examination shall disclose to its satisfaction to be thus defective. Purchaser must deliver any part or parts to: Miller Manufacturing Company, 1450 West 13th Street, Glencoe, MN 55336 for examination. Excellent for all our animals

I bought one of these and put in with our 6 ewes. It worked perfect. Went back and bought 3 more. One for the 2 rams, one for the 2 horses and one for our donkey. SOME POINTERS!!! When you hook the supplied black hose to the fitting use some of the white plumbers tape from the hardware store that is used for threaded fittings. Make sure you use the black washer provided in the fitting where the hose connects to the waterer! I have had no leaks. I also use the tape to connect my hoses to the 4 way splitter I bought that connects them all together. I makes it easier when the time comes to remove or disconnect a hose. I also bought some small threaded ball valves and connecters in the plumbing department and drilled a hole in the bottom of each waterer and put these on so when I need to drain and clean it is a snap.

I bought 3 of these for various animal pens. It sounded like a really good idea, but there have been problems. They have constant leaking problems around the outlet, you must use the black hose it comes with because no other fixture will fit in the small space, but it comes loose constantly with no good way of tightening it. The sheep tend to rub up against the black hose and loosen it daily, and the hose comes out straight so in order to direct it upwards you need an elbow that the white fixture doesn't allow, The brackets are not sturdy enough to hold the bucket straight when full of water so it tilts forward slightly causing leaking also, the float may be adjusted for this tilt but it is kind of a pain to deal with the float at any time due to it being hidden behind a plastic guard that is screwed on with 4 screws, some sort of lift up guard would be much more useful. With the size of this bucket a drain should come with it, I was supprised there was none, so you can either cut and install one yourself or scoop the water out into a bucket each time you need to clean it, a time consuming task. I would also like to see the bucket itself be more sturdy, or flezible, I can see the ram hitting it someday and breaking it to pieces. I will probably go back to the smaller waters with better fittings, easier to clean and keep ice free.

This is a good little waterer until you have to clean it. You have to take the screws out & remove it to clean it & then reattach.
Would have given 5 stars if it had a drain for cleaning.

These have become my best friend. We have multiple large outside dogs. Always making sure the water bowl is filled with water and has not been turned over and running in the pen is very time consuming. These are great for dogs. Durable, even with dogs that chew. I have to clean it out at least once a week. Otherwise, they always have available water in plentiful quantity.
