The flat base does not provide you with enough maneuverability to be safe for white water use. If the rivers and creeks are calmer water, this kayak works great. - A: This kayak is not designed to accommodate a motor. A trolling motor will only work on our Manta, Yukon and Sport fisher kayaks. The design of the of the Tamarack Kayak and other models, does not provide a means to mount an electric trolling motor, without having to modify the hull of the kayak resulting in the void of the 5 year warranty period.a year agoHelpful?

Unfortunately it is not in production right now and we do not have a date of when it will be in production. I purchased the Tamarack Pro 103 kayak about a month ago. In it, I’ve logged about 9 hours out on the water so far. Mostly calm lake water, once in very choppy lake water on a windy day. The kayak has performed well! I’m very happy with the stability. I haven’t fished from it yet, but I believe it will be well suited to doing so. The tracking is good. The comfort is also good. The raised seat is nice! I stay dry and it’s comfortable! The onboard storage is good! The bungee areas are easy to utilize. The dry hatch provides good space. This kayak comes with a removable insert for the hatch, which is nice. It makes small items easily accessible and keeps them from sliding around inside the kayak. It can come out to stow a dry bag inside also. The construction of this boat is durable and I have faith that if I treat it well it will last for years.

I bought this Kayak 2 months ago and have been enjoying fishing out of it. Stable, I was able to crawl forward on the Kayak and untangle my line from the front handle, (my fault) and felt safe, tracks pretty well. Overall forgiving for a beginner and easy to manage transport with one person. I’ve been catching a lot of fish. Would definitely recommend.
