Q: Will this composter last thru winter? We get between 1 foot and ten feet of snow, down to 18℉ fairly often.
a year ago- A: The Double Bin Rot Composter does have galvanized parts. The steel used to build our composters are made with a weather resistant powder-coated finish that protects from cracking, warping, rot or splinters. It is made to be rust-resistant. However, we recommend using a rust treatment for extra protection a couple times a year, especially if you live in a high humidity climate.a year agoHelpful?
Q: How long does it take to compost a load?
4 years ago- A: Composting in a tumbler is much faster than composting in piles. Because you turn the compost every few days and thanks to the heat generated in the contained space, you can expect to turn your scraps into compost fairly quickly. How quickly? If you've got your mix just right, sometimes as little as two to six weeks. Refer to your manual for more information.4 years agoHelpful?
