Keypad failed after 1 year. Couldn’t get into safe for 2 weeks. Thankfully, Liberty sent out replacement parts for free but there’s a high risk of permanent damage during the repair.

I have a15 year old Cabela's Classic gun safe (Made by Liberty) that's about the same dimensions and cubic feet interior as the Revere, which was about a hundred bucks more than this Revere at the time. I got the Revere side by side with my Classic and you can really tell the difference. The differences I observe are: 1) The Classic has much nicer paint job. It feels better, looks better, and feels a lot more durable. 2) The Classic is completely smooth outside with nice rounded corners and no visible welds or seams. 3) The Classic has 12 gauge steel, the Revere has 14 gauge steel. 4) The Revere is assembled with a square pan for the rear of the safe that is inserted into the back of the safe shell and the seam is visible all around the rear. My Classic is completely smooth and rounded on the rear, virtually perfect. 5) The Classic has round chrome door locking bars with very little slop, five on both sides of the door, one on the top and one on the bottom. The Revere has five poorly finished thin square locking bars with lots of slop on the opening side of the door, no locking bars on the top or bottom, and two metal tabs about the same size of the locking bars that are welded to the hinge side of the door so when you close it those press up against the inside of the safe. When the door is closed you end up with five mechanical bars on the left, two fixed bars on the right. The square bars are supposed to make it harder to pry open the door, but with the bars not being very thick and only two on the hinge side and none on the top or bottom, I doubt this is better than my Classic. 6) There is no comparison on the interior, the Classic has much nicer carpet and trim with no defects that I can see. The Revere has thinner cheap carpet with the trim in the barrel cut outs loose or coming out already. The Classic has no gaps in the fire board. The Revere has a couple small gaps I can feel with my fingers. 7) The Revere door has slop when locked and the door sticks out on the locking side. The Classic has almost no slop and the door sits slightly inset in the door opening, the same inset all the way around. The Revere isn't nearly as smooth to open or close as the Classic, and sometimes I have to wiggle the handle after unlocking to open it. 8) The S&G E-pad on the Classic feels higher quality, but is not EMP resistant. The Revere Securam lock is EMP resistant allegedly, but feels cheap. 9) The Revere comes with the door organizer and I had to purchase the door organizer for the Classic, but the door organizer on my Classic is much higher quality. Some will say I'm comparing apples and oranges, and that's partially true, however at the time I bought my Classic it was an entry level Made In USA safe, and the Revere is now the entry level safe. They are comparable in size and features and price at the time I purchased both. Currently the Classic has a much higher price than the Revere. I'm simply pointing out the severe lack of quality on the Revere in comparison. I can see where they cut corners to make a cheap Revere safe, but on my Classic even though it's not high end, it looks, feels, and functions great. That being said, if you can get the Revere on sale for under seven hundred bones, it's not bad these days, but any thief will cut into it like butter. For anyone that doesn't know, every safe break-in in my area was done by the thieves cutting open the safe, either on the side or the back where the metal is thinner and it's easier than trying to cut or pry open the door. I haven't seen one yet where they tried to pry the door open, so I don't think massive doors with heavy duty bars is that big of a deal unless you've framed in everything around the safe and that's the only option for a thief. Also house fires last hours, and unless your safe is in an area that didn't burn very hot, a lot of stuff will probably be wrecked inside, especially polymer guns. When my brother's house burned the guns weren't very messed up from fire, but the fire seals around the door shrunk after the fire and the water from the firefighters got into the safe through the door. It was about a week before he could retrieve the safe and most of the guns were rusted and several ruined.

Keypad lockout that resulted in having to cut open. Digital keypad had two replacements and the cable on the interior snapped. Had to cut open. It’s ridiculously thin and a reciprocating saw cut through the thin metal like butter
