I bought a 6' tall x 10' x 10' no name kennel here at TS and bought this roof add on to go with it. It's a basic roof. Three tubular roof trusses connected to a common ridge tube holding up a poly tarp. The tubes are not galvanized unlike the kennel. They are painted. Does it matter? Not as long as the poly cover remains intact. They are light gauge but seem adequate for the job they do. They get assembled together with those quick release ball connectors like tent poles use which is a plus, no nuts and bolts. The kit comes with all the tube sections, a variety of fittings, a brief one page view of how to assemble it, and a set of six clamps to join it to the kennel. You need a socket wrench for those six clamps, 5/8" here in America. We assembled it without the tarp and placed it on the kennel. The top. There's a bundle of ball bungee cords and the top. Not the thickest material but it is thicker than I thought. The exposed side is green, the underside is black. Get it somewhat unfurled in place and start at one end of the kennel placing bungees in the holes (reinforced holes, that's good) on the tarp and running the bungee around the top rail of the kennel and back to the hole in the tarp. YMMV. All this takes two people. Really. No kidding. Two people tall enough to reach. Most kennels are five feet tall so those folks can be short. It's all a little bit of a learning curve but it ain't rocket scientry. Last note. Some folks complain about the gap that is left around the perimeter of the tarp. It does not reach the edges of the kennel or overhang it. There's maybe 6" or so all the way around. If you complain about that I can only imagine how much you will complain after you replace it with something large enough to make up that gap, the result being the replacement tarp will be contacting the kennel parts including the chain link fence tops. I'm suggesting that the wear points affecting a larger tarp will wreck it in pretty short order. Maybe not. Good luck with that. My pooches can just move from under that 6" perimeter gap if they get caught in the rain. That may be asking an awful lot out of them but I'm an optimist.

The tarp was 8 inches too short , either way I turned it, was disappointed for the price I gave, had to buy another tarp to use with it, everything is was good

We are using these as chicken run covers, and they're great. Just as the benefits of such roofs bestow on the pooches, they bestow on the hens and roosters. Solid quality hardware has stood up to harsh wind and rain, heavy snows (although snow is removed from roofs manually), and hot sun beating down. I would prefer a heavier duty tie down strap, or maybe redesigned in some way, but the supplied straps are adequate....albeit pending our future upgrades.

A very good, basic cover for 10 x 10 dog kennel. Tubular frame that snaps together and then attached to top rails of kennel with metal clamps. Easy to put together, and most of assembly can be done with one person. However getting the frame up on top of kennel easier with two people. It has a tarp that attached with Bungie cords ( provided). This is my 2nd purchased. Liked 1st one so much, bought 2nd. The tarp provides shade and protection from light rain. It withstands winds fairly well, but need to take down in winter if get heavy snows. Definitely recommend.
