Great tires, went on rims way too easily

Great tires. I purchased these for a Cub Cadet w/ worn out Carlisle tires. I wanted to try Kenda and they were a little more expensive. The only complaint is, as far as I know these tires are non-directional but after I installed them I noticed a white and blue line down the tires. I've messaged the mfg to figure out are they actually directional. I searched online and have had zero luck find out. I don't understand why people put tubes in old/work out tires, just replace them, it's only a few dollars more. The best way I've found to replace these tires are: 1-remove valve stem core to deflate 2-break beads by stepping on the sides/putting in a vise, stepping on and hitting with a screwdriver/hammer. I don't have a bead braking tool-can be difficult 3-cut the tire off, the tires are scrap and since the rubber is old and stiff I've had too much trouble using tires spoons to pry the tire off. These tires are bias ply, the only section that has a metal cord is by the bead, cut that with tin snips but the rest of the tire is easy to cut off with a sharp knife. 4-remove the old valve stem 5-clean up the rim 6-install new valve stem, use a little lubricant-soap to install 7-install one side of tire on the outside of the rim. This way you don't scratch out the outside of the rim w/ spoons when installing the bead 8-install other side using tire irons/spoons. The longer the better and I'm not a fan of screwdrivers. 9-seating the bead can be an issue, either use ratchet straps, either, or remove the valve core and use a high pressure compressor Tips for making the job easier -use tire spoons/irons that are long -don't use screwdrivers -make sure to clean up the rim -use dish soap straight out of the bottle, it stays on the tire/rim and makes it easier then soapy water -don't put the lubricant everywhere, I lubbed up about half of the tire when putting on the bead, if you lube the entire bead sometimes the tire keeps slipping and it's hard to inch it's way on -these are bias ply tires and deformed tires are normal. it doesn't mean the tires are bad and it doesn't mean the shipping was bad -make sure the tires are at least room temperature but the warmer the easier. If it's fall/winter I leave the tires in the basement and let them warm up for at least a few hours. It makes a huge difference vs having them in a 50 degree garage -seating the bead. I have about a 50-50 luck with my compressor and then go to either. If you're going to use either use either/starting fluid, I've never gotten a bead to seat w/ brake cleaner or other I've installed about half a dozen small tires and the job is getting easier. it still isn't fun but I've gotten it to a manageable experience.

Super Turf Tire, 15x6.00-6, 4 Ply

This is a preliminary review; since, I have mounted the tires but am waiting to finish a leak test prior to installing on my Mow & Vac trailer. After reading many bad reviews regarding different tires made in China I settled on the Kendra Super Turf model. After all, I had a positive experience with their road worthy tire/wheel assembly on a utility trailer. General Comments: Unlike many reviews I read - about other Chinese tire brands - these were shipped in an adequate cardboard box. However, they were incredibly deformed and asymmetrical. Frankly, I really considered returning them. Contrary to my initial notion I proceeded with dismounting my old tube tires and installing these new tubeless tires. Meanwhile, I invested in an inexpensive mini tire changer (good move). Before going any further please know I'm 70 years old and have changed countless tires on many different vehicles and machines. This includes: cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles ... you name it. Yet, I've never seen brand new tires so deformed. Too bad I don't know how to attached photos to a review. Anyway, since they are off road tires, I decided to mount them. I was curious to see if air pressure would counteract the rubber deformation. They went on the wheels easy by using a really slick tire bead lubricant. Getting them to inflate was another matter. I had to switch to my bigger compressor and two ratcheting band clamps. Even then it was more challenging than it should have been. Once the tires beads sealed against the rims they inflated quickly. Much, but not all, of the deformation was minimized at the specified 12 psi max. I decided to over inflate the tires until the deformed rubber was no longer visible. It took 25 psi to achieve a visibly even tire profile! Yes, that's more than twice the specified maximum pressure. But it was intended to be a pressure test with the tire off the vehicle and without a load. I then placed the tire/wheel assemblies in a warm part of my basement. Thought keeping the tires warm - in addition to the over pressurization - might help to even out the geometry. Well the good news is ... the tires held pressure and have developed a reasonable shape and symmetry over the last 48 hours. Now I'll deflate the tires to 12 psi and install them. Fortunately, I had the tools, equipment and perseverance to make this work. I have (2) questions: (1) Should all that extra labor have been necessary? (2) Is this a level of manufacturing the U.S. public is willing to accept? I'm at a point in life where time is more valuable than money. Frankly, I'm willing to pay a bit more for better product. I've purchased quite a bit from Tractor Supply ... including the Agrifab Tow & Vac these tires are going on. Although their product lines seem to have gone more and more toward Asian manufacturing most of it is of satisfactory quality. Although, the Kenda K500 Super Turf Tire, 15X6.00-6, 4 Ply are a disappointment. Tires should be manufactured and delivered round and symmetrical ... even off road tires. I would not recommend these tires for the casual DIY person.

Exactly like the other one.

I was given a riding mower that had a brand new Kenda super turf tire on the right front. The left front had a worn out different brand on it. After researching I saw that TSC offered this tire to be ordered online at the best price. There was some snaffu with my online order and after a week I contacted TSC online and they got it straightened out. Had it shipped to my local store to avoid a shipping cost, got it in 2 weeks.
