- A: Hi there, This Wheel Type is Pneumatic. Pneumatic tires are wheels with a metal hub with a rubber tire mounted to it. Instead of being solid in nature, the tire is filled with air or foam to the desired pressure level to achieve the appropriate load and deflection characteristics.3 years agoHelpful?

One of 2 tires purchased is mounted and runs well. Will leave other original tire on until checking gets worse, then mount the tire I already have on the shelf. Less lost time during mowing season.
