KBS Top Coater Galvanized Aerosol is a cold galvanizing spray that gives bare and repaired steel a flat galvanized finish, with 93.5 percent zinc in the dried film. Use it to touch up welds, cuts, and scrapes on galvanized gates, fence posts, corral and livestock panels, trailer frames, and structural steel, or as a galvanized finish over RustSeal. It dries to the touch in about 5 minutes, takes a topcoat in about 20 minutes, and resists heat up to 350 F, so equipment goes back to work the same day. One 12 oz can covers up to 30 sq ft.The surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil, loose rust, and scale. Wire brush or sand repairs to bright metal, clean with KBS Klean, rinse, and let dry. Shake the can for at least one minute after the mixing ball rattles, and shake often while spraying. Spray between 50 and 90 F in thin, even, overlapping passes; thin coats dry faster and hold up better than one heavy coat. Dry times grow with extra coats and heavy coats. Clear the tip after use by turning the can upside down and spraying until it runs clear. Clean up with paint thinner or lacquer thinner.
