Did not make contact

The magnetic bars to hold it to the oil pan stuck out too far so that the heating element did not make contact with the oil pan and did not heat it up.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Poor quality

It lasted only 41 days then i noticed melted plastic by base plate. And its dead. This is the second one in 1 year. We have had a cold winter in NC. I have the older model from 15 years ago and it still works!. Poor quality control.
