Rated 5 out of 5 by from magnetic is easy So far it works as well as one that is permanently installed. Cheaper and way easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it should Picked this up to heat the pan on a 355 Chevy engine. Easy to attach, stays in place, cord long enough to reach out from under the Jeep so I don’t have to crawl under it to plug in. Would buy again.

Can this be left on the oil pan while driving? So you don't have to take if off before you drive the vehicle?

Asked by: FastFredie
The 1160 Magnetic Heater must be removed before driving any application it is used on, which includes tractors, ATV’s, etc.

can this be used on heat oil quench (square) tank for knife quenching. what temp F will it heat it to.

Asked by: mac4725
The thermostat is set at 250 Degrees F. That is the temp of the bottom of the heater. The tank temperature will vary depending on the thickness of the metal tank and the volume of oil in the tank and the ambient temperatures.

Can this be used on block instead of oil pan ?

Asked by: Kc8ehd
According to the manual, this magnetic heater has to be attached to a flat surface that is as big as the heater itself (which would be roughly 5”x5”). Unfortunately, you probably won’t find that big of a flat surface on a engine block.
