Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought two engine heater dip sticks one for my tractor and one for my truck. Fantastic, better then I expected. Temps here in Pennsylvania with the wind chill down to -25 at times. Both tractor and truck easy to start. I debated awhile to get them. Very pleased that I did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Catastophic failure Received this, it was in a box too small and was bent slightly to make it fit. Straightened it, placed it in dipstick tube and plugged it in. Immediately there was crackling and smoking, the top of the unit became red hot. Unplugged, tried to pull it out and the plastic top separated (melted) from the stick and came off in my hand. Pulled out the smoking stick with pliers; only half came out as the unit was internally shorted running 120 vac through the dipstick tube and melting the rod in half. Still have not retrieved the bottom of the rod from the oil pan.
