Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not flexible enough... I purchased this for my 1998 Kia Sephia it doesn't seem to like cold weather that much. I thought this would help but unfortunately it is not flexible enough to get down into my oil pan. Tractor Supply is a good store, not knocking them at all, it's just this particular product did not work out for me. Next time! :-)

Stainless steel tubing is flexible making it possible to be installed in most engines.

will it work with a 2009 Subaru

Asked by: Rhondas
The 15200 dipstick heater may fit in this application. 4”-5” inches of the top of the dipstick must be submerge in the oil for this to heat the oil. So it the existing dipstick must not be any shorter than 27” inches.

Will this work on my o9 duramax

Asked by: New deisel owner09
The 15200 Dip Stick Heater is more of a universal fit and fits most light duty vehicles. The dip stick tube needs to have an opening of at least ¼ inch and the heater has to protrude into at least 4 inches of oil.

Yes as the cord on the heater may get caught on something.

I ordered this; will it work? For a Massey Ferguson sub compact utility tractor, diesel. My dipstick has a pull ring with the seated "rubber" seal. It has a 45 degree bend and the whole thing is about 8" long. Can I use this without seating the seal?

Asked by: ThunderBoy
The dip stick heater does not have to seal but it needs to protrude at least 4 inches into the oil. The heater will bend slightly but it's hard to say whether it would bend that much without breaking the internal heater.

what Im concerned about is if I leave this in the dip stick tube overnight and it snows heavy and it s cold do I have to take this warmer stick out and replace it with the original dipstick that came with the truck?

Asked by: Rhondas
You can leave the dipstick heater in all night. An issue that may come up is leaving the extension cord out on ice, snow or rain. If you plug into a GFI system, this may cause the breaker to disconnect.
