With my Hustler the deck would always run into stuff but my Z254f Specail Edition Husqvarna deck floats right over obstacles. This lets my blades last longer because of less contact with obstacles. Kawasaki motor runs great too!

Bought this in September 2025 because the Kawasaki engine on my 15+ year old Cub Cadet locked up. Decided it was time for a new mower and I got a really good deal on this Husqvarna. When it was delivered the controls were sloppy and when in the neutral position it would start turning itself. Called the store and they came and picked it up. Said they fixed it. Then this year in June 2026 the belt that runs the blades broke. Took it to the store and they replaced the belt and looked at the control issues again. Got it back they said it was fixed. Ran it today July 2026, sounds like something is loose on the left side of the deck, my back is getting hot from exhaust coming from somewhere, there is a shimmy when making sharp turns, it’s tearing up the grass, and it’s still not cutting right. It’s been leaving long blades of grass randomly when cutting. Also today ran it through some thicker grass and it bogged down and shutoff on me. I wish I had bought a new engine for my old Cub Cadet mower. Going to call the store again and get it picked up for the 3rd time. It had 9.8 hours on it when the belt broke. Today after using it there is 11.3 hours on it. Way too much going wrong with this mower this early. I’d really like Husqvarna to just buy it back and I’ll go buy another Cub Cadet.

Bought this mower in May of 2020, recently replaced pto switch,ignition switch and battery. Last week started to mow, felt vibration mower quit.The motor mount evidently broke and twisted motor throwing rod in engine shooting oil out.Engine is ruined with only about 150 hours on it.The mower is more or less useless now, not worth much for parts or triple bagger that's on it.

Bought the machine today' put it straight to work and did not disappoint

Buried tree branches pull blades off, which means replacing the spindle, bolt blade, & blade. Like it to have a bit more under the seat to help with feeling every bump & chasm.

Great mower I like the upgraded seat but would be nice to have gas gauge ran out of fuel twice getting used to fuel range which is 2.5hours.

After waiting for delivery, the wheel on the mower deck is broken off; unknown damage beneath the deck; no replacement wheels sold at TSC! Customer Support trying to help with another mower to replace this one.

Wanted to try a zero clearance tractor this time. Does take some getting use to operating but so far so good.

Was great but soon as I got around a mile on it, it won’t run anymore. Barely can get it going full choke and full throttle. And it’ll stall out after a few seconds. If you try to even take choke off at all or throttle down at all it will stall. Never mind engaging the blades.

Just bought this 2 weeks ago and love it already. My son even loves driving it.

I own one for couple of years now , and i will not buy another one had electrical issue with it since second year i owned it , no good wiring diagram , ignition switch and steering sensors give me trouble all the time , seat sensor worked have of the time. the only good thing is that mower is the motor , Oh yes it is Kawasaki.

Tractor Supply had it ready to go. Went home right away and mowed.

I like the mower, the one thing I do not like about it, is as much money as it cost it does not have a gauge for gas.

Don’t have shipped. Showed up in an 18 wheeler with the driver alone. Driver could not unload pallet alone. Had to assist him with getting it out of the semi. Dropped pallet in driveway and left. I had to unpack, put it together and fight to get it off shipping crate. Metal crate left by shipping company and told my responsibility to dispose of. It weighs 50-75lbs of steel. Most definitely recommend picking it up from tbe store. Otherwise good mower.

After a hiccup in delivery, Got the mower home now. WOW what a difference, best experience I've had n a while. Turns great, runs and cuts great!

I bought this at the end of mowing season last year. Starts fast and cuts quickly and evenly. Kawasaki motor is the way to go. The only problem was they run the wire to start the blades thru a hole cut in the frame and no rubber around the cut caused the wire to get cut. Repaired it and put a little silicone around the edges of the cut. Works great now.

For 3 straight seasons since purchase, this mower has been amazing. I would definitely recommend it.

I have only had it, almost a week, can't tell you much about it yet. We have only run it, at the most 30 minutes. P.S. I look good on it !

We bought our mower 5 years ago & it is still holding up. We also have chainsaws by HUsqvarna. Very dependable brand !

Have as of yet received this, the trucking company said it would be delivered 1 9, then 12, then 14 then 15, finally gave up and had the Marrysville store change the shipping to their store, they said next week 22 or 23.

Takes a little time to get used to a zero turn lawn mower, but really cuts well and breaks down the leaves in the yard.

Don't expect the mowing deck to last long. The weld points are shoddy and will fail, and Husqvarna makes a point of not standing by their warranty. They are aggressive in turning down warranty claims; they wouldn't even acknowledge my claim despite photos, multiple complaints from other people with teh same issue, and even the service company stating it was an obvious weld failure. No response to BBB; check out their BBB review to see how much their warranties hold up. Find a better company with better support for your mowing needs.

Every time I ride this mower, I like it even more. Only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Now, I look forward to cutting the grass. And it is so satisfying to go inside and stand there while looking out the window at your work

Deck failed 3 years 13 days they would not warranty the deck. It actually failed 5 days earlier but could not get to dealer faster. Will never recommend anyone but a 54 inch zero turn or any other products

Works great. the only complaint I have is the speed adjusting one side still moves faster then the other

always starts excellent, and the motor is strong… However, it is not a very smooth cut, especially making turns it’s very sloppy and the wheels rip the yard up. In addition, there’s no fuel gauge and several times. I’ve ran out of gas far away from my house and have to go get a gas can and fill it back up. Not very happy

I have had the z254f for 3 yrs. Bought new from a dealer here in town who offers great service. I must tell you coming from old mowers that needed air in the tires and jump start to even begin mowing, I feel like I'm dreaming on this z254f machine. I have had the spindles replaced under warranty, and an idler pulley. But that was painless with a reputable dealer. Coastal Engine (zip code 27981) gets a shout out for being awesome. They always have the parts and get the mower fixed and returned within a couple days. I also had a belt replaced. I mow and acre of nice grass 1.5 times a week or about every 4-5 days. couldn't be happier and money well spent. I would recommend getting your mower from a reputable dealer vs. big box store. I have not had any of the steering issues. I did install grippier tires to mitigate the spinning and add to the slope angle I can mow on. Best mower I ever owned. Thank you Husqvarna.
