Q: Are the barbs for the fuel lines on the back of the primer different sizes or the same size? I need a primer with one of the barbs bigger for my fuel line.

Q: Is the bulb itself replaceable on these or do you have to get a whole new bulb and housing/mount as shown in the photo?

- A: The Poulan/Husqvaran purge bulb, P/N 530071835 is not designed to be disassembled. With this part you receive a small assembly that houses the bulb along with the nipples and mounting flange to attach the part to the chainsaw powerhead.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: The clear OEM part #615-796 has a stipulation that you cannot use gas with more than 10% ethanol. I question if using it with gas “that may contain up to 10% ethanol” is why my bulb has failed twice in 5 years. Does this part have the same restriction?

- A: Hello RGB1978, The part number you referenced #615-796, is for a Stens purge valve. I cannot comment on the integrity of the Stens unit when used with certain fuels with specific ethanol concentrations. If certain fuels are used in your saw that weren't designed for it or not outlined in your user manual, it can cause unforeseen damage to the saw and its components over time. I cannot guarantee that using a rich ethanol fuel was the reason for your purge valve failing but it could be a possibility. Concerning the Husqvarna purge valve, to avoid potential damage to the purge valve, I would recommend using the gasoline and oil recommended by your user manual as the purge valve was designed for the fuel described in the manual.
