The Hobart Handler 210MVP MIG Welder is an industrial performance welder that is spool gun ready for aluminum. Running on either 115V or 230V input power, this Hobart MIG welder welds up to 3/8 in. mild steel and is flux-cored or MIG ready. The seven voltage sections, enhanced magnetics, and infinite wire feed speed control of this Handler MIG welder allow you to fine control the output parameters for improved arc performance with less spatter. The 210MVP MIG welder also accepts an uncomplicated, easy-to-install direct plug-in SpoolRunner 100 spool gun that allows you to weld aluminum with enhanced feed ability and reduction of "bird-nesting".

- 7 (230 V) and 4 (115V) voltage settings with infinite wire feed speed control offer easier fine control of the output parameters for improved arc performance with less spatter for a better bead appearance and less clean up
- Accepts uncomplicated, simple-to-install direct plug-in SpoolRunner 100 spool gun to enhance feed-ability and reduce "bird-nesting" associated with soft aluminum wires
- Integrated spool gun control circuitry is standard and eliminates your need for an additional control box or adapter is required to connect the SpoolRunner 100 spool gun.
- Dual-voltage capability with MVP (multi-voltage plug) allows you to connect to common 115 or 230 V power receptacles without the use of any tools; just choose the plug that fits the receptacle
- Door Chart with initial settings allows you to quickly reference initial settings for different wires, gases, materials, and thicknesses and provides quick starting point for novices and professionals alike
- Built-in contactor keeps wire electrically "cold" until trigger is pulled which gives you ease of use and keeps you safe
- Industrial cast aluminum wire drive system features a durable wire feed that provides you professional performance
- Convenient polarity changeover with tip holder makes it easier and quicker for you to change polarity between solid or tubular wire
- Less of your time consumed in setup by offering three Quick Select drive roll grooves, two for different size solid wire and a third for flux-cored wire
- Short circuit protection guards the Hobart welder against current overload
- Self-resetting motor protection protects wire feed system from overload, you won't need to change or reset the circuit breaker button
- Self-resetting thermal overload protects the power transformer from thermal overload to provide you maximum reliability

Hobart Handler 210 MVP

I bought this welder 3 weeks ago from TSC and so far I really like. The arc is nice a consistant. It makes very nice welds using 220 volt or 110 volt. I highly recommend this mig welder. I couldn't be happier.

Welds good, but...

It is a 4 star welder as far as the welding goes, however, it blew a capacitor after turning it on after a two week break from welding. It has been in warranty repair for nearly a month now with no word.

Welds hot

Welds hot. Machine does everything you want it to do for the price. Easy to use.
Only thing I would say is that if you are considering it, be aware that it is not exactly a light machine. It must weigh about 80 lbs. I made a cart for it out of scrap metal and the off road harbor freight casters... after using if for a year I realized that I probably should have just bought the bigger Hobart ironman 240... reason being is that it comes with wheels on it already and it welds hot enough to mig weld any thickness.
That being said, this machine is 1/2 the price of the ironman 240.
I will probably just buy the ironman 240 at some point and have them both. I prefer a transformer machine to an inverted machine. I have 2 blown up inverter machines sitting in my shop, while this old design hobart just works...
