The Hobart ER 70S-6 Carbon Steel Solid Welding Wire has a mild steel construction that offers sound, porosity-free welds with powerful deoxidizers for your work with shielding gases. This Hobart welding wire is great for construction work, farm implement fabrication, shaft buildup, tanks, truck bodies, and general shop applications with poor fit-up or rusty and oily plates. In general, the solid welding wire is great for all-around repairs and fabrication. The diameter of this carbon steel welding wire is .030 in. and the spool weighs 10 lb.

- A: We are not the manufacturer of the Vulcan welder so I would check with them. But if it can accommodated a 10lb spool and you can use a shielding gas with your welder then it will work.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: this product weighs 10lbs and the specifications say its 10 feet long is this an accurate description? I only ask because all of the welding wire I’ve looked at on this site is described like this, that’s a lot of inaccurate info if it is.

It’s welding wire… But it’s made in USA welding wire!
Lots of cheap import wire that welds fine but generally made of recycled cheaper steel blends.
Happy to purchase and support USA made industrial goods :)
Item specifications list this item as “imported” but my package of wire picked up 8/31/2021’ states “Made in USA”
