This does not work for ducks when using starter feed. Once they empty the sections, the remaining feed in the bucket part does not come down and they go with no feed until you can shake it up to release more feed
Very inconvenient to have to monitor this. Someone asked a question if it works for ducks and you answered yes their bills can fit in there but no mention of the issue I described

I bought this to provide feed for half of my small flock when they are separated from my main chicken run. I didn’t realize there is no lid on it, so an adult chicken would definitely try to stick their head in the top. We were able to take the lid of a number 10 can, with curled edges down, and cut an opening to slide it over the hanging handle.

We've gone through several of these as the plastic begins to decompose and crack apart after a year or so. Hopefully the plastic shedding doesn't work its way into their food (and our eggs). First World problem but - why do the stickers have to be grafted to the product? I try to peel them but then it just makes a mess and looks ratty out in the coop. Otherwise a decent feeder for the money.

I use this in the run. While it serves the purpose, I can’t fill it capacity because the bottom “tabs” slip out of their slots and it starts to tilt a bit.
Good enough for the price and the bottom has never come off.

The feeder works great and is a good design. No problems with cleaning and reassembly. However; a domed lid would make it so much better! As is, even young chicks roost on it and poop into the feed reservoir. An improvised lid may work well enough but they still poop on the lid. Definitely a domed lid would work wonders even as an additional purchase.

Aggravating feeder....after dealing with this for 6 months, I am searching for something else.
PROS
-It holds about 7lbs of feed
CONS
- Feed will not gravitate to ports on it's own. Need to shake daily.
- 2 parts come apart too easily. Therefore, sometimes when shaking carefully, or if you needed to transport from one place to another, bottom falls out and feed falls out (maddening)
- Can come a part just lifting lid and putting food in. So it lays there "rigged" until it is empty to twist the 2 parts together again.
