Q: What kind of seed and how much is in a roll? Most co put more ry seed in it than anything else.

  • A: Thanks for reaching out! Our product already has the seed pre-mixed and embedded during manufacturing, so there’s no need to add any additional seed. At this time, we aren’t able to add custom seed varieties provided by customers. If you’re looking for a different seed mix, we’d be happy to help recommend one of our existing blends that might fit your needs!

  • A: Best not to use over old grass, it’s not really intended for overseeding. Clear out the old grass and turn the soil, it works best on bare, turned soil.

  • A: In about 1 week, I had 3" grass. It rained a lot in mid-spring and that may have had something to do with it, but I was surprised because the soil here is very bad and I did not do much prep work.

Exceeded where everything else failed

We have one patch of our lawn that absolutely will not grow grass. We've tried spreading grass seed. We've tried transplanting already successfully grown grass sod (not back friendly believe you me). Nothing has been successful. So when given the opportunity to try this GrowTrax roll in exchange for my opinion, I figured we had nothing to lose.... These rolls have grass seed, fertilizer, and mulch all in one easy to lay roll. You guys, this is the easiest (most back friendly) way to get grass to grow (even in the most unfriendly grass growing spots). Just unroll it and keep it moist. Grass success! We will be ordering more of this to fill in our grass "bald spot". This was not a posting obligation. No sharing requirement whatsoever. I simply wanted to put this out there into the ether for anyone else looking for an easy lawn solution that actually works. Lay it. Water it. The grass will come.
