This tool is outta here!

Hey batta, batta, swing! Strike 1,2, 3 – this tool is outta here! What a disappointment. The wife and I had a lot of weeds to cut down and haul away in our backyard. I told her that when I was a young teen, my father had bought this weed cutting tool and it worked great. It cut weeds and grass like nothing. I wondered if they still had something like that, so I looked around and found this tool. It looked exactly like the one from my youth, so I was pretty pumped knowing how well it worked before. Well, when I first tried it out, it was so dull that I actually thought there might be a safety guard covering the blade. I remember the one we used to have, and the blade was very sharp to the touch. I kept at it, swinging with all my might, and nothing. All it did was smash the weeds down, but did not cut them. After bragging about what a great tool it was, I left the yard like a dog with my tail between my legs. Now it sits upon a nail in my garage, waiting for the cobwebs to develop—only a memory of what used to be…

Not like the one Mama had

My front yard is 85% weeds so after a little rain you've got 2 feet tall weeds. I got this to save me from having to mow when the grass hasn't grown at all just to be rid of the weeds. It's nowhere near as efficient as the golf club shaped one I used as a child. Either that or my weeds have been eating their Wheaties. I swung 8 times on a particularly stubborn stalk and barely knocked it down, forget actually cutting it. My advice is invest in a low end weed eater because this isn't like they used to be at all.

No, I do not recommend this product.
