Put a stop to Southern weeds with Scotts WeedEx Southern. This lawn weed killer has the strength to take on tough weeds like dollarweed and clover. It controls over 25 listed weeds, including dollarweed, clover, dandelion, chickweed, and oxalis. Apply Scotts WeedEx Southern when grass and weeds are actively growing. Use in the fall to control winter weeds such as henbit, rabbit-tobacco, and evening primrose. Do not apply during winter dormancy period - wait until after the third mowing of the season. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product. for Scotts broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 5. for Scotts drop spreaders, use a setting of 11 1/2. Do not apply with a hand-held spreader. This product must be watered in immediately after application. Scotts WeedEx Southern is only for use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, and Carpetgrass. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts WeedEx Southern covers 4,000 sq. ft.

Easy to use weed killer

This weed killer worked great on my yard. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The pictures on the bag explain specifically which weeds it targets and which types of grass to use it on, or not use it on.

We get a variety of weeds in our lawn and this helped minimize a lot of them. It was easy to apply with a spreader and we had more than enough in one bag for our yard. Took a few weeks but we are seeing a decrease in weeds and our grass is still looking nice.

Not a big fan of it. We tried it and it made the grass dry. We follow the instructions and it wasn’t it. The texture was okay. I think I wouldn’t use it again.

For the best results, remember to water Scotts Weedex Southern in after applying it to activate it. Also, keep in mind that you should start seeing results in about 2 to 6 weeks. For those extra stubborn weeds, you might need a second application 2 to 8 weeks after the first one. Finally, make sure the weeds were actively growing when you applied the product. If your lawn is dry, give it a good watering, let it dry, and then apply the product. Or, wait for cooler weather when the weeds are more active. Great for the south!

This is a fast acting grass aid! You can almost see the weeds dying before your eyes. It is a granular formula which means that it is instantly dry with a pinkish texture. Water it in after applying wait until it dries and you are good to go. It is concentrated so make sure to not apply too much. Scott’s is the best for seeing results without a huge environmental impact.
