Cheap and dangerous

Broke at the head the second time using it. The second maul I’ve used that broke within only two jobs. Both broke the same way. Don’t know why anyone would sell such a cheaply made tool. Posed a hazard with the 8 lb. head possibly falling on mine. Don’t waste your money.

Not a good start!

I purchased this maul today with hopes of replacing my 8.5lb maul as I split a lot of wood and was hoping to relieve some of the work. Got it home and went to split a few logs just to test it out and was happy to see i could swing it a lot faster and harder. This quickly lost its value as I had to swing it quite a few more times compared to my other maul. I couldn't get through one log I was trying to split and the ones I could took A LOT more swinging making the usefulness of the lighter weight negligible if not burdensome. Upon inspecting the edge I found that it WAS NOT GROUND SRAIGHT!! In total it varied just short of .25" off center. It's obviously visible even glancing at it so not sure how this poor quality got through. I really hope this isn't a sign of the quality of the rest of it but if something this visible was allowed to get through i hate to imagine what i can't see. I'm going to put a new edge on it (one that's actually straight) and see how it performs from there. Will update this at that time but right now I am NOT IMPRESSED!
