Q: Can you use for loosing soil
10 months ago1 Answer
- A: No, you generally should not use a manure fork to loosen soil because its thin, widely spaced tines are designed for lifting and moving loose materials like compost or manure, not for digging or breaking up compacted earth. For loosening soil, you need a digging fork or spading fork with fewer, thicker, sturdier tines that can penetrate and pry apart soil without bending or breaking.10 months agoHelpful?

Putting this tool to test and holding up great. Used for multch, manure, and and spreading hay. Craftsmanship seems well. Cushion handle and smooth sealed wood.

I bought a fork like this one and it was the worst mistake i ever made. The handle separates from the wood and breaks off within a week. I would have to say i will never again buy a tool like this there.
