This walk-behind spreader is perfect for controlled spreading around driveways, paths and gardens over areas as big as 20 sq. ft. The spreader is built on 8 in. pneumatic tires, allowing it to roll smoothly over grass, and the controls are mounted right on the handle for easy access as you push the spreader. The hopper can hold up to 50 lb. of material at once to reduce the amount of refills needed. Made with durable metal components and a powder-coat finish, this broadcast spreader is made to last season after season. Poorly made. Cheap materials.

Very poorly made. On the first use with only 10 lbs of material in the hopper, the gearbox was grinding and the whole spreader shook from side to side. Returned it to the store the very next day.

I know nothing is perfect in this world. I got a one-time use out of it, and it really did not work well at the time. I am not sure if the person who put it together set it correctly. I went to use it a second time and set it to the correct spreading number, but nothing came out. It began to make a grinding noise as well. Needless to say, I had to go back to my smaller spreader, which took me 2 hours longer than I wanted. It was a painful experience. I am sure it's not a bad product, but I bought a different brand from somewhere else. I love shopping at Tractor Supply, and I have never had a problem with other items I have purchased from them before. Again, it could have been put together incorrectly, but I could not take that chance a second time.

It’s a good spreader overall but would be easier to use without the support stand in the back or if it had bigger wheels. I had to hold the rear up off the ground in order to push it making the job more difficult than it should’ve been.

Not great

Barely lasted a season. It will not hold up to the capacity rating it claims to have. Mine just grinds now the spinner plate won’t spin. It might hold up longer if you load it very light, but why buy a big spreader if it won’t hold a large amount. Also, it seems like the rate adjustment is a little wonky.
