Q: Brass fitting unscrews when unraveling hose. How do I fix?

Customer Service - Replacement Parts list

This is an update to a review I left in April 2023 regarding replacement parts. I left a review about the inaccessibility of replacement parts. I have owned my hose reel for 2 yr. It began leaking as the o-rings wore out. When I disassembled the fittings to replace the o-rings, the hose connection crumbled into pieces in my hand. I left a 2 Star review on the product because I was unable to find replacement parts at the store or online. TSC customer support reached out to me and provided me with a copy of the owners manual and parts list. I have now read where others have had similar problems and TSC customer Service provided the parts list to help repair the hose reel. Thank you customer service.

Guaranteed to leak

Had this for about two years and where the hose connects to unit from the house broke off. Very disappointed considering it was always keep inside hoping it would last for the amount of money spent on it just to hold a hose.

Day One - Not Good

Bought this reel this morning and will update over the next year on its quality. First day complaint is the angle and close proximity of the hose attachment on the reel makes it impossible to attach a good quality hose that has either a spring or plastic on the end of the hose near the connector. I had to go and buy a ahort piece of cheap hose and bend that hose to get enough room to get it attached to the reel spigot. The design team that came up with the angle and close proximity to the hose reel should investigate.

GIven that the design will require at a minimum replacing o rings in the brass coupling frequently one would think that it would be designed for easy replacement which it isn't. Very disappointed. I see many comments expressing the same thing. Can't recommend unless you only want it for a year or 2.

Junk - Do Not Buy - Leaks after one week of use

Leaks heavily after at the brass junction (bearing seal) after just one week in an area that is not repairable. Never got the chance to actually roll hoses up with it. Poor design of where the hose attaches. It angles sharply downward making it difficult to attach hose. Already threw the box out, otherwise I'd return it.

When you wind the barrel one way, it screws in and if you spin it the other way, the barrel falls off. Awful design flaw that TSC won’t issue a refund for. Gotta weld it.
