The soil is made from premium, regionally formulated ingredients to ensure best results. Follow instructions on the package for preparing, mixing and planting tips.

  • All-purpose garden soil great for growing flowers and/or vegetables
  • Premium, regionally-formulated ingredients allow you to grow confidently
  • Feeds for up to 6 months
  • Prepare soil by applying 2-3 in. to the top of the desired planting area
  • Rototill or use a shovel to mix into the top 6 in. of native soils and then level the soil area
  • Plant seeds or plants according to directions and water thoroughly
  • Apply fertilizer according to package directions when plants show signs of slowed growth
  • 1 bag of Garden Soil covers 1.5 cu. ft.

This is full of large chunks of wood and so many rocks! I trusted it was soil and none of my seeds have sprouted. All the money I spent on seeds that I can't get back is disappointing. I will be returning both bags!

THIS IS NOT GARDEN SOIL! This is wood sticks, pieces of green plastic, wood chips and shavings. Going back for credit!

Good if you understand what this product is.

I'm giving this a 4-star rating on a few points. 1. Its meant as a garden mix. Its meant to be mixed with additional soil and the wood chips are meant to add compost that will break down over time. 2. I bought several bags of this for its woodchip content. After a rain it adds insulation to the top of the soil which reduces moisture loss and restricts weed growth. 3. I found this mix to do great when mixed with the Organic Outdoor Potting mix from Miracle Gro. 1 bag of this to 2 bags of miracle grow. Makes the mix very loamy. One suggestion I would make to Tractor Supply on what could be added to this mix is Azomite. Its cheap and you won't need much to go a long way.
