Q: Can this be used on log splitter? What does the weight capacity rating mean?

  • A: The cylinder should not be used on a log splitter application. In that application, you should use a 3000 PSI cylinder preferably welded design.

    Bought it for my log splitter. Works great! Larger rod than previous cylinder. Split a lot of wood so far and not a drop of oil leaking. Lots of power also.
