With a properly installed venting system, a natural draft will occur during a loss of power to the stove, that will continue to pull smoke out of the appliance and out of the home. - A: Hello, thank you for your question. The user manual recommends: Do not use less than PFI premium-grade pellets. Use 100% natural hardwood pellets, untreated and without bonding agents added (max bark proportion of 5%) are the only fuel approved for use with this pellet stove. For best results see the specifications below: • Calorific Value of 5.3 kWh/kg • Density of 700 kg/m3 • The pellets should be low ash (less than 1 % ash) • The pellets should be less then 30mm long, with a diameter between 5 and 6.5 mm. • Do not use the pellet sediment & debris at the bottom of the pellet container. • Store pellets in sacks, made of environmentally neutral or biologically degradable plastic or from paper (2-3 layers / similar to cement packaging). Use of wood pellets that do not meet these specifications may result in ignition difficulty, accelerated creosote or flash build up, incomplete combustion, low heat yield, and blackening of the glass in the door.a year agoHelpful?

You really do get what you pay for. I bought it to put in an outdoor shop and it was cheap compared to others. The blower and motherboard went out in two months. Customer service sent me parts which I had to install myself. I worry that I will have issues after the warranty expires.

Nice little stove difficult to install

Difficult to connect to universal vent pipes, my installer had to use a pipe spreader as the exhust pipe that came with the stove was too small to fit the universal venting system. Phone calls to both the stove and vent pipe people did not help resolve the problem. I am surprised that no other reviewers mentioned this problem. I almost returned the stove. But my installer was able ro make it fit. Other wise the hopper is very small, it has to be filled multiple times a day. Thw use of the app is nice , the hopper does make a sound every ten to fifteen seconds.

Bought it on clearance on 01/16/25
I noticed that the handle wasn't on the door I figured it was just part
Of the assembly process, I got it home got it moved in found the door was broken
The part the handle bolts to was broken off inside the door
I'm sure the tsc team new this didn't bother to tell me .
that's what makes me upset not the stove it's the dis honesty from the members

Good little Stove.

Been a great Stove for us. We chose this one because of its Small size for a specific space in our home
The only negative I would say is the hopper is too small,
but I leave the lid open and I bypassed the lid switch and I’m able to mound up the pellets in the hopper
The stove heats great I primarily run it on number two setting
The Wi-Fi app is great able to control it from your phone.
The only issue I had was at the beginning where I had to replace the motherboard, but it was a factory recall replacement.
They sent me a new one and it was no problem. Replaced it myself I believe they addressed that problem on all newer ones.

Poor exhaust design and pellets jump out and do not burn clean leaving the glass filthy in less than an hour. Over priced for quality.

It serves the purpose. Auger is a bit loud. Heating an ~800 sqft top floor. Good heat output for the size. Hopper is a bit small but I think it makes up for it in the handy size. User interface takes a bit to get used to but works fine. Would definetly recommend going to a bigger stove if you're approaching the 1200sqft max for this stove.

It’s a nice stove and easy to set up, but unfortunately you have to fill the hopper every few hours even at the lowest setting. Can’t make it through the night without adding pellets.

Caught on Fire

Only had this stove for 3 months threw a ESC2 code for a heating sensor and came home to our house absolutely fullnkf smoke thought our house was on fire and the pellet stove caught on fire. Went up through where the pellets came out and lit the hopper pellets on fire. Have been havinf issues then this happened.

Heats very well but...nope

This is an update to a separate review that I can't seem to update. 650hrs in and no malfunction.
2 stars because of the auger/sound dampening design. Needs re-evaluation. Auger works and is not defective. I have more than enough experience with 3 other large pellet stoves over many years and this stove's auger by far tops them all.
I wouldn't purchase this again for a quiet area. For over $1000 the auger shouldn't be 10x louder than the room fan after the amount of work it takes to install.

It’s a great stove. It is capable of heating my entire (2,500sq. ft.) house. I haven’t (knock on wood) had any problems with it. My only gripe (which is my own fault for buying a smaller stove) is that the hopper is tiny (18lbs) compared to the next size up Grand Teton Pellet Stove (60lbs). I have to fill the hopper constantly. Other than that, its a great, good looking stove. I like that it’s more narrow than the other stoves. I would recommend but it can be a hassle to fill the hopper so often

Incorrect delivery date

When purchasing this item please plan 5 weeks for delivery of this item. Once you pay online you will get a delivery date that is not accurate. I was told I would have this item in 5 days and it was delivered 5 weeks later and then the delivery guy called me several times on the day of delivery to ask me to go meet him so he didn’t have to come to my house. All around one of the worst experiences with purchasing any item online.
