- A: Drill a hole 1” in diameter to a depth of 10”, drill a second hole at a 45-degree angle to intersect with the vertical hole to create a V shape in the stump. Pour at least 4 oz of product into the hole, fill with water, and let stand. In 4-6 weeks, fill the holes with kerosene, let stand until absorbed, and burn or burn charcoal on top of the stump. Worked as described. Drilled 3 holes, filled to the top. 5 weeks latter, poured kerosene and lit. Burned all the way to the tips of the roots. Product not available anywhere else.

What the ad doesn't tell you -

Incomplete directions on Tractor Supply website. Only after reading the fine print on the container did I find out that I am supposed to DRILL 1" holes into the tree stump. Then I'm supposed to pour KEROSENE into those holes, let it soak, apply the chemical powder, then LIGHT IT ON FIRE! NO WAY!

Its good stuff. A lot of stump removers have reformulated to sodium metabisulfite which decomposes dtjmps slower via a different reaction. This is good ol potassium nitrate. Which provids a couple different options to get rid of the stump
