Q: Will this rust over time? Because we are looking for wire to make a gabion fence and we want it to rust for the patina . thx

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Neighbor- The Garden Craft 60 in. x 50 ft. Welded Wire Fence is constructed of galvanized steel designed to resist rust and corrosion. While highly durable, it can still rust over long periods, particularly in harsh, wet environments or if the galvanized coating is damaged, as galvanized steel typically lasts 15–25+ years depending on conditions.

Messed up order

Not one bit happy with tractor supply. Was promised 50 ft. Of fencing to match the 100 ft. roll I purchased in store. When delivery came it was the wrong gauge. Long story short...I had to buy another 100 ft

haven't used it yet

I'll be using this wire as reinforcement for mortaring an indoor floor, the classic way of preparing a proper substrate for ceramic tile. Haven't used it yet, but it looks like it'll fit the bill, be easier to work with and less expensive than expanded-metal lath.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Flimsy

This fencing is decorative only. It’s so flimsy you can bend it between two fingers easily.
