Rust Encapsulator Platinum is a high-performance, moisture-cured coating that encapsulates and stops rust from spreading. Rust Encapsulator Platinum can be used as a top coat or can be top coated with almost any paint. It can be applied over bare metal or surface rusted areas. Brush or spray applied with conventional spray equipment. Rust Encapsulator Platinum is ideal for any type of rusted metal surface and can withstand temperatures up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Easy to use and good price here.

After reading reviews I decided on this product. TS had the best price I could find on it delivered. I used it on the steel poles on my carport and Schwinn air bike frame. The lid opened fairly easily that was a lot of complaints about this and other products. I mixed it and it spread fairly thin; I was expecting it to be thicker. I let it dry and applied a second coat and it dried fairly thick looking. I can't say anything about how good it works or long term yet but after a month no rust has shown through the covered areas. If I can update down the road I will.

Temperature limitations

The product may well be excellent, but unless you have an air conditioned space to work in the paint is not compatible with Texas summer weather. The compatible temperature conditions are between 40-80F and humidity of 55% or less. I verified the conditions with a email to their support line.
