The formula helps restore the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, eliminate itching and control fungi and bacteria populations to support healing. Douxo Chlorhexidine Micro-Emulsion Spray comes in a 6.8 oz. bottle and can be used alone or after bathing.How it Works

Chlorhexidine offers powerful bacteriostatic and bactericidal activity on gram negative and gram positive bacteria. Phytosphingosine is a pro-ceramide with anti-inflammatory properties. It helps in the restoration of the skin barrier. CAE is a moisturizing agent that helps in the restoration of damaged skin. It also offers antifungal and antibacterial properties, which complement chlorhexidine's properties.

Special Precautions

  • If skin becomes irritated or if irritation worsens, stop treatment and contact your veterinarian.
  • Do not allow contact with eyes.
  • Never swallow.
  • Keep away from children.

Helping Dog with seasonal itching

Last year we had to give our dog a bath every 2 days with the Douxo shampoo due to some type of allergy that would cause tufts of fur to come out. Having back issues, it wasn't the easiest thing to do, especially every 2 days. Thanksfully it was during Aug, Sept and Oct as I don't know what we would have done if it was during NY cold winters! This year when April rolled around and I saw 1 tuft of fur I thought, got to stay on top of this and FAST. This spray has worked wonderfully at keeping things under control. We have not found any skin issues since using the spray and now spray any spots that she itches every other day just to be safe.
