Q: How will they do in heavily shaded wooded patches

  • Domain Outdoor
A: They can handle semi shade and pair well with hot chic in those environments. Planting in heavy shade with any seed type is a challenge. But 4+ hours of sun a day can work out!

Everyone needs Forage Oats

Domain Forage Oats has been a great addition to my food plots. I've been using this product for last 2 years as an over seed in my established plots. Easy to grow and deer hammer it through late season.

Customer Service Made It Right

Initially the seed was old and had not been tested for germination in almost two years. When I told the TS people they told me to come back when the next shipment arrived about two weeks later. When I did there was a much newer bag with recent testing and they allowed me to exchange my original purchase.

Not Cold Tolerant

I have planted Plot Spike oats from Tractor Supply for years. Once Domain replaced Plot Spike, I gave them a try thinking I would get the same results. I no-till drilled both products and the difference is, Domain dies over the winter (both years I planted) and Plot Spike (every year I planted) comes back up in the spring. If you are looking for just a fall attractant, Domain is ok, but if you are looking for them to come back up in the spring, head out (seed) for the turkeys and deer to feed on in the spring, this is not your product.
