There isnt information on if it will last longer, it has been tested to help your water purifier run more efficiently and last longer. Great texture in the water

For those who don't want too much salt in their water. Potassium chloride gives a much better feeling in the shower and doesn't leave a film on you like regular salt. It's much more expensive than regular salt and you go through it at the same rate.

No clumping in the tank

We like this better than just straight salt which tends to clump on the bottom of the tank.
With the potassium it does not do this.
