The DEWALT 1.6 HP 30 gal. Air Compressor is proudly made in the USA with global materials and features a 1.6 HP 120 volt heavy-duty induction motor with an oil lubricated, belt driven, cast iron, V-twin pump that delivers 155 Max PSI, 6.2 SCFM at 40 PSI and 5.3 SCFM at 90 PSI all while operating at a quiet 75 decibels bringing less noise to your environment. The 10-in. wheels make the air compressor portable, while the vertical configuration takes up less floor space making it easy to store in the corner of a garage or workshop. This DEWALT air compressor will operate a wide variety of pneumatic tools for automotive and agricultural applications as well as your DIY projects around the home (All pneumatic tools operate at various SCFM. Consult the operator's manual for your tool for the required SCFM for the tool to operate.). The air compressor is shipped with synthetic oil for optimum performance and long life.

As I rolled it from the aisle to the register I could tell this was a high quality compressor. It's heavy! In proper Tractor Supply form, it was ready to go right off the showroom floor. It's much quieter than those obnoxious belt-less compressors. It keeps up with my air impact and ratchet just fine! You can't go wrong with this compressor.

Already 10 min, leaks compressor gasket

So I purchased that less that 4 hours ago. Try registering is with Dewalt and their website say the the product I am looking at does not exist. Following the Break in procedures and it starting leaking oil right at the gasket. Looks like the gasket got pinched or something. I have always had good luck with Dewalt but sadly this experience has left me a little tick off. Bought it on a Saturday. No service lines are open, call back Monday. I can't call them to complain and get it fixed. I can't register it to file a compliant.

30 gallon compressor

The compressor was packaged well and arrived in good shape. TSC loaded it at the store with a forklift. I thoroughly inspected the unit before the break in run. I had to adjust the pulley on the motor by 3/8" to align with the compressor pulley. One of the filters was not properly screwed in and fell off while inspecting the filter. The threads were damaged before assembly, so I chased the threads with a thread chasing file and screwed it into the compressor properly. The drain (that is supposed to be opened daily) is almost inaccessible. The unit needs more ground clearance or route the drain to an accessible location. I build air fine and the regulator works fine. Improvements to the manufacturing process and design would have resulted in a 5-star rating.

Great little compressor

Relatively quiet, compact form factor, and easy to move around. The only problem is that the bleed valve on the bottom of the tank requires that the tank be tilted to access.
