Sweet Shrub is the perfect addition to your backyard sanctuary! This trouble-free shrub provides food, shelter, and nesting, drawing nature's creatures to your landscape. The showy deep maroon blossoms of this shrub last for 3-4 weeks. Their spicy strawberry, banana-pineapple fragrance peaks in late afternoon and early evening when the flowers fully open. In autumn, the leaves turn a lovely golden yellow. Sweet Shrub is exceptionally easy to grow and may be planted in light shade to full sun, although full sun will allow for more blossoms. If planted in a hotter climate, be sure to plant where it will receive a bit of shade during the hottest part of the day. Guaranteed to Grow: Product must be purchased before June 1st. Sales receipt and UPC required. For refund, please go to: https://retail.degroot-inc.com/guarantee.

Q: Will it grow near a walnut trees? I've killed a lot of plants not verifying this. Thank you in advance for answering.
28 days ago- A: Howdy neighbor! Yes, the DeGroot Sweet Shrub (Calycanthus floridus) is widely recognized as being tolerant of black walnut trees. It is one of the few shrubs that can handle "juglone," the natural toxin that walnut trees release into the soil to keep other plants away.24 days agoHelpful?

Q: Can you use pods or divide to start other plants?
6 years ago- A: Sweet Shrub produces suckers at the base of the plant which may be dug up and transplanted, preferably in early spring. They may be planted in good soil in garden beds or in pots to get the roots established. Keep the soil around them slightly moist until they become established.6 years agoHelpful?
