DeGroot Hydrangea Pee Gee

Apologies for the following typos. My arthritic fingers are not cooperating with me today. Now on with my review. While reading the reviews I noticed several comments from purchasers about buying dead stems that never produced. However, I believe they just did not give them enough time to show their true beauty and did not understand what bareroot really means? Eight years ago I bought six hydrangeas and I too did not know anything about bareroot plants. That said, 6 weeks later and no signs of life I threw them away. Gosh, I wished I had waited I'm sure they would have been beautiful hydrangeas. Later a friend schooled me on bareroot plants and now I know you have to give them time to show their true beauty as they come dormant in the store with no leaves or flowers at the time of purchase . If you buy shrubs in the store with signs of leaves they've been in the store too long and at that time the store will need to get rid of them marking them down at a lower price. Last year I bought two peegee hydrangeas at tractor supply planted them in 16 in pots. They had plenty of leaves but only a couple of blooms. This year I'm sure they'll be loaded with flowers. Yesterday they were sprouting getting ready for the new summer season. For anyone thinking about purchasing bareroot plants make sure you read the directions and follow those carefully and you should love the results. Happy growing! It's been close to a month now and I see no leaves sprouting. This is more like a dead plant now and just a waste of money. May be i ahould have read the reviews first with soo many people complaining.

Very satisfied this plant is easy to grow and maintain.

I bought 4 hydrangeas, a butterfly bush, wisteria, and hummingbird bush, about 5-6 weeks ago. They were all dead have still planted in loose soil to see if they would come back to life to no avail. Not happy at all.
