They typically go dormant during the winter and return in the spring. Quick set up: Soak plants, expand the media with 2-2 1/2 cups of warm water, fill the pot (leaving 2 inches at the tip), insert plants root-first into openings, place in the 6-8 hours of sunlight, and water to keep media moist-not wet. Do not buy. Guaranteed growth is only valid up to purchase date of June 1st. I wish I would've read the package and reviews. I purchased on June 12th. Opened the white pack only to find dead plants. Why are they still on the shelves if they're not guaranteed to grow? Pretty deceptive. I asked Degroot for a refund and they declined it because I purchased it after their date guarantee. Again, why are they still being sold?. Never purchasing a Degroot product again.

Bad. All dried up and dead.

Never sprouted, never grew, do not buy. That's strike three for degroot plants. I bought as apple trees from them they died now this strawberry pot. The plants were dead to start. Degroot is a bad product.

Save your money unless you love the planter.

I came here to check if I was the only one who had issues with this product … obviously I wasn’t! I too basically just have a pot and bad dirt, if there were ever roots they shriveled up, died and decomposed long ago! I probably wouldn’t care except this was for my 5 year old to grow her own strawberries. We ended up having to find and buy strawberry roots else where which defeated the purpose of this entirely! I do not recommend unless their quality control changes drastically!
